This boat race venue was opened by Wakamatsu City in 1952. It is the venue for major races such as the G1 Japan Champion Race, Women’s League Night Queen Cup, the G3 JR Kyushu Beetle Cup etc. In May 2004 night racing commenced with the Pineapple Night races. It was the third venue in Japan to hold these race meetings after Gunma and Aichi, and the first in Western Japan. The East Grandstand and the West Grandstand each have their own gourmet cuisine. Why don’t you try motsu on skewers or yakiudon fried noodles. Inside the venue is the Family Pit, perfect for a family pit stop.
