This is an educational facility to learn about the water environment along the Murasaki River. Inside of the facility there is a basement level where you can experience nature from the perspectives of fish, birds and insects, and ecosystems in tanks. It is popular among children, as they can learn about the rivers of Kitakyushu in a fun way. The “River Observation Window,” 2.3 meters high and 7.2 meters wide, enables visitors to see firsthand various kinds of animals inhabiting the Murasaki river such as puffer fish, yellowfin goby and Japanese mitten crab. How about bringing your children to our museum and getting to know the importance of the river environment?
