ltozu-no-mori Zoological Park, a beautiful green space located in close proximity to central Kokura, holds a special place in the hearts of citizens.
With around 100 different species and 500 animals, including elephants, giraffes, lions, and tigers, the park’s Animal Zone does away cages wherever possible, providing the animals with an environment that is close to their natural habitats.
The park gives visitors a taste of how animals live in the wild, which is what makes it so special.
The Petting Zoo, popular with families and couples, allows visitors to feed and pet animals, including raccoons and rabbits.
There is also a Recreation Zone, which features amusements such as a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round and athletic equipment, as well as open spaces with lawns. Here, you can relax for the day and spend time as you please.
