Mojiko Retro Observation Room

Mojiko Retro area History and historic sites / See / Play

This is the top floor of the high rise apartment building Retro Highmart, designed by one of Japan’s leading architects Kurokawa Kisho. The glass-walled lookout deck is 103 meters high and provides views of not only the Mojiko Retro District, but of the Kanmon Bridge and the Shimonoseki coastline. As the sun slowly sets the beauty of the red dusk skies takes your breath away. The view of the night lights is also recommended, especially from late November when the streets of Moji sparkle with romantic night illumination. Enjoy sweets and drinks at the AIR’S CAFÉ on the lookout level.
