Former Moji Zeikan

Mojiko Retro area History and historic sites / See / Play

After Moji Customs was established in 1909, the Moji Zeikan (Customs House) was constructed. Restored by Kitakyushu City in 1994 it was reborn as a modern building with a neo-renaissance style. The ground floor entrance hall is wellhole style with a rest area. The second floor features a gallery and an observation deck where you can see the drawbridge Blue Wing Moji.

The adjoining tea house Mooon de Retro offers parfaits with seasonal fruit and the Fried Banana Parfait only available here. The scenic view terrace seats offer a great view of retro Mojiko.
