There are many literary authors related to Kitakyushu, such as the Meiji literary writer Mori Ogai and the pioneering female haikuist, Sugita Hisajo, and there are still many footprints.
“Kitakyushu Literary Salon” was opened in Gintengai, Kyomachi, in the center of Kokura on March 25, 2017 in order to communicate this attraction as “Literature City Kitakyushu”
Panel exhibition of artists related to Kitakyushu City, introduction of information on events in the surrounding cultural facilities, sightseeing and city walks, lectures and reading events.
