This harbor railroad (freight) line ran from Mojiko Station, through Mekari Park to Taurako Port. The line was closed in 2005, however in 2009 it was reopened with the Kitakyushu Bank train Shiokaze Moji Retro Tourist Train. Two open passenger carriages are sandwiched between small diesel engines, and travels at 15 kmph from the Kyushu Tetsudo Kinenkan Station to the Kanmon Kaikyo Mekari Station. The conductor gives commentary on Mojiko and the history of the harbor train line, adding to the interest of the short trip.
