Hesaki Lighthouse

History and historic sites / See / Play

This is one of the 5 lighthouses the shogunate government promised the British delegation they would install when Hyogo Port was opened in 1867. Since first being lit, it has continued to shed light on perilous areas of the sea for a hundred-plus years.
Along the road to the lighthouse is the all-weather barbecue house, SeaTresbien where guests can eat dishes prepared with locally caught seafood, including barbecue and seafood donburi (It is approx. 15 min. by car from SeaTresbien to Hesaki Lighthouse.)
